Who doesn’t love those giant inflatable slides? This is just an old feature from an elementary school’s carnival. I thought it captured my mood pretty well amidst all these signs of spring that I’m seeing.

I just wanted to revisit the story of The Castros after a good conversation about immigration with a fellow student the other day. Also, the above picture has been more affecting me more lately than any of the other images in that story, even though I had kind of glossed over it in the past.
